ReSound Vivia provides great hearing in noise using our new Deep Neural Network (DNN) chip trained on real-life sounds and scenarios, but what is DNN?

DNN is a special class of Artificial Intelligence where an advanced algorithm structure, that resembles the brain’s network, learns how to do a task through repeated exposure to relevant situations - in this case balancing the sound scene.

Our new chip is trained for real life on 13.5 million spoken sentences, so it can work across 3.9 million tuned sound parameters and perform 4.9 trillion operations per day⁷. In practice, when your patients need a little extra support, they can activate Intelligent Focus, which spotlights speech and provides contrast to unwanted noise for outstanding sound and focus on the sounds of choice.
